Performance spaces
Edinburgh Sports Club offers a variety of performance spaces for events such as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. 2009 saw 20 performances of the Burlescque revue performed here, along with around a dozen band performances after the revue. Bands regularly perform in the Club Room, which can be extended to accommodate around 100 for such performances.
The CLUB ROOM is an intimate 66 seater venue close to the bar and restaurant, with a raised stage area of 4m x 2m. Sound, light and AV facilities are available, with one side and one auditorium entrance point. Diagram below.
COURT5 is the state of the art small theatre with raked seating for 90 people. The stage size is variable, upt o 5m wide and 5m deep. All lighting and sound requirements can be addressed. The space is a classic black box venue, with a clear overhead stage height of 7m. Diagram below.
The GARDEN VENUE is to the rear of the Club on a grassed area with seated tables for 30 and standing for a further 50. This area is ideal for casual theatre and musical performances.
Bar & Restaurant facilities are available throughout performance times.
Car parking is available for in excess of 75 cars.
Slot times are 1 hour upwards.
